Whitney worked at the JCDC from 2009-2012 and spear headed the FORMCities design competition, the MID publication, the Jackson is ART summer camp with the Boys and Girls and several Jackson based design projects. She and Jassen Callender developed the mission of the JCDC of a mid-sized city think tank and participated as a delegate of the Intelligent Cities initiative with National Building Museum and lectured at Pratt Institute.

She continued her passion of city and neighborhood scale design after the JCDC through creative economic, affordable housing, and educational development at Midtown Partners in Jackson, MS.

Whitney then went on to practice a more traditional path of Architectural design and project delivery at firms such as HDR and Gensler. She is Design Manager and team leader, building large scale projects that support intelligent cities and infrastructure.
