Scott Penman is a multi-disciplinary designer and researcher interested in architecture, emerging technology, and computational models of human creativity. After training as an architect in Mississippi and working on nationally-recognized projects in Arkansas, Scott pursued graduate research into artificial intelligence, drawing machines, and the playful attitudes exhibited during design at MIT. In his current role as a Design Technologist with Sasaki Strategies, Scott works with data analysts, statisticians, and software developers to create computational tools that are tightly integrated into the firm’s creative workflows. Scott works with all of the firm’s disciplines to develop specific software solutions to design questions, leverage the potential of  computational design, and empower designers to ask better questions.
